HIMALAYAN HYDRO EXPO 2024

Nepal is rapidly becoming a global hydropower hub with a potential of over 200,000 MW. Achieving a significant milestone, the country has added 3,000 MW in the past 11 years, plans to add 2,000 MW by 2024, and aims for 28,000 MW by 2035, including a 10,000 MW power purchase agreement with India. This growth demands a $40 billion USD investment over the next decade, with hydropower set to contribute $1 billion USD annually in export revenue.

The Himalayan Hydro Expo 2024 offers a pivotal $50 billion investment stage, presenting  opportunities for various sectors. From electromechanical and hydromechanical providers to construction contractors, consultants, and financial institutions, the expo is a gateway to engage with industry leaders. With 8 sessions featuring 45 speakers, it's a not-to-be-missed event for those in or considering entry into Nepal's burgeoning power industry.

INDIAN PAVILION

The hydropower industry is experiencing a strong market in India. With its strong economic growth and increasing energy needs, India thrives for hydropower to meet its green energy transition targets. Nepal can provide the much-needed hydropower. The Indian hydropower industry can not only invest in Nepal’s  hydropower projects but also provide the necessary capacity building and supply various components and materials required for construction. A dedicated Indian Pavilion, with the participation of a large number of Indian companies under one roof, has been arranged at the expo.
